1、無軸封、無泄漏、流道寬敞，所以輸送含顆粒，高粘度（粘度可達1萬厘泊），易揮發和腐蝕性介質時，不會造成環境污染和危害人身安全。
2、無旋轉部件，通過性能好，允許通過顆粒直徑達10mm。液體無剪切流動，泵自身部件磨損小。對輸送物損傷小，可輸送污泥和生命體如小魚苗之類。
3、不需灌引水，自吸能力強，吸程高達7m，長時間干呼吸，對泵不損壞。一旦超負荷，泵便會自動停機，負荷恢復正常時，能自動啟動運行，具有自我保護功能（電動泵無此功能）。
4、揚程達50m，電動泵達30m，出口壓力可達0.6mpa。揚程、流量可通過氣閥開度實現無級調節，氣壓調節在1-7kgf/cm2之間電動泵無此功能，進口需裝調節閥控制。
5、可以浸沒在介質中工作，無電源通過，安全可靠（電動泵無此性能）。
