The rapid detection of Trypanosoma cruzi infection is a rapid immunochromatographic strip analysis based on specific multi epitope recombinant antigens. This rapid detection method is used to qualitatively detect serum antibodies against Aspergillus derived antigens of Trypanosoma cruzi. For research purposes only. Not used for diagnostic programs.

Direct detection of parasites in the blood through microscopy, blood culture, heterologous diagnosis, or PCR has high specificity and can confirm the presence of infection (4,5). However, these programs require high technical and operational requirements. Other methods currently used include measuring antibodies against crude liquids, complement fixation, indirect hemagglutination, and fluorescent antibodies (IFA). All of these lack specificity and/or sensitivity (6-9). Serological testing can detect antigen specific antibodies expressed at different developmental stages of parasites, making it very suitable for rapid and simple diagnosis of this disease (10-14). To improve the serological diagnosis of Chagas disease, we identified and used a multi epitope composite antigen (15,18) derived from different antigens of Toxoplasma cruzi. This antigen consists of a total of 9 different epitopes (15, 16). Testing principle: This immunochromatographic test aims to qualitatively determine serum antibodies against Clostridium cruzi. This test can detect antibodies in individuals infected with Clostridia. This test is based on a proprietary gold mixture that contains the target gold conjugate and its ability to bind to antibodies present in serum and whole blood. Once combined, the gold antibody complex will move laterally and form a complex with immobilized Trypanosoma cruzi derived proteins present on the membrane, forming a test line. Unbound gold will continue to move upwards to bind and form a control line. When the test line is observed, the test result is positive
